An essence pad, not an exfoliating pad. There is a difference, and it matters.

Most toner pads on the market are acid pads — you use them a few times a week and rest in between. This one contains no exfoliating acids at all. It is a soaked essence step, which means you can use it daily, morning and night, and on the nights you are resting from a retinoid or an acid.

The formula is built on roughly fifty fermented ingredients — and that count holds up against the ingredient list. Bifida ferment filtrate, saccharomyces ferment, lactobacillus ferments of rice, soybean, pomegranate, ginseng and acerola, plus chlorella, algae and barley ferments. Fermentation breaks large molecules into smaller ones and generates amino acids, peptides and organic acids as byproducts, which is why fermented essences tend to feel lightweight while still leaving skin looking fuller.

Doing the visible work alongside them: niacinamide, placed fifth in the ingredient list, for tone, dullness and uneven pigment. Plus tetrahydrocurcumin — a colourless derivative of turmeric that brings the antioxidant activity without the yellow stain — gardenia fruit extract, adenosine, and sodium hyaluronate.

The pads themselves are oversized, biodegradable and vegan — 70 of them, generously soaked.

How to use

After cleansing, sweep a pad across the face and neck, then press the remaining essence in with your palms. No rinsing.

Safe for daily use, morning and night. Because there are no acids in the formula, this is the pad to reach for on the nights you are resting from a retinoid or an exfoliant — it hydrates without adding to the irritation load.

For a stronger hydration step, lay a pad over a dry patch or the cheeks and leave it as a mini mask for 5–10 minutes.

Best for

Dull, tired-looking skin. Uneven tone. Dehydration. Works across normal, dry, combination and oily skin — the texture is light enough not to sit heavy on oily skin and hydrating enough to matter on dry.

Give it time. Hydration shows up in days. Tone and pigment respond to niacinamide over 8 to 12 weeks of consistent use, not overnight.

Before you start

• This product is not fragrance-free. It contains rose geranium flower oil and declares citronellol, an EU-listed fragrance allergen. If you are reactive, sensitized, or have rosacea, this is not the pad for you.
• Patch test on the jawline for 24 hours before first full use.

• External use only. Avoid the immediate eye area. Keep out of reach of children.
• Close the lid firmly after each use so the pads do not dry out.
