0.1% liposomal retinal — the retinoid that skips a step.

Retinal (retinaldehyde) sits one conversion away from retinoic acid, the form your skin actually uses. Retinol needs two. That single difference is why retinal works faster at the same concentration — and why this is the upgrade, not the starting point.

Celimax encapsulates it in liposomes, phospholipid spheres that shield the retinal from light and oxygen and release it gradually. That is how a strong retinoid stays wearable.

It is not left to work alone. Matrixyl 3000 (palmitoyl tripeptide-1 + palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7) targets firmness, niacinamide sits high in the formula for tone and barrier support, and 1% panthenol plus tocopherol buffer the irritation retinoids usually bring.

15ml in a compact bottle — a strength-first booster, used a few drops at a time, not an all-over daily serum.

Key ingredients

  • Retinal (Retinaldehyde) 0.1%, liposomized — high-strength retinoid for lines, texture and firmness
  • Matrixyl 3000 peptide duo — supports firmness
  • Niacinamide — evens tone, supports the barrier
  • Adenosine — Korean MFDS-recognized functional wrinkle ingredient
  • Panthenol 1% + Tocopherol — soothing and antioxidant buffer

How to use

At night, after cleansing and toner, apply 1–2 drops to dry skin, then follow with moisturizer.

Start slowly — 2 nights a week for the first two weeks, then 3, then every other night. At 0.1% retinal, many people never need more than 3–4 nights a week. More often is not better; it is just more irritating.

If skin feels tight, use the sandwich method — moisturizer first, booster, then moisturizer again.

Wear sunscreen every morning. Retinoids increase sun sensitivity, and unprotected sun undoes the result you are paying for.

What to expect

Two to four weeks of adjustment is normal — mild dryness, light flaking around the nose and mouth, sometimes a short run of small breakouts as turnover speeds up.

Visible change in fine lines and texture takes 12 weeks of consistent use. Anyone promising faster is selling you something.

Best for

Fine lines, loss of firmness and uneven texture, in skin that already tolerates retinol comfortably. Not a first retinoid — if you are new to vitamin A, start with the Retinol Shot Tightening Serum and move up to this once retinol is easy.

Good to know

  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Do not layer with another retinoid, an exfoliating acid, vitamin C or benzoyl peroxide on the same night — alternate instead.
  • Stop and let skin recover if you get burning, persistent stinging or a rash.
  • Patch test before first use. Avoid the immediate eye area. External use only.
  • Cap tightly and store away from light and heat — retinal oxidizes with air and UV. Use within 6 months of opening.
