Tea tree, done properly — in a foam built for congested, breakout-prone skin.
Tea tree has been the go-to botanical for blemish-prone skin for decades, and SKIN1004 puts it here at a declared 0.2% Melaleuca alternifolia leaf oil, backed by tea tree leaf water. That is enough to do something and low enough to stay wearable.
It is a dense, deep-cleansing foam — the kind that whips up thick and rinses completely clean, with nothing left sitting on the skin. Alongside the tea tree: salicylic acid, Madagascar centella asiatica, neem leaf and flower, hinoki cypress water and cacao seed extract.
125ml, and it foams generously. A little goes a long way.
Massage a small amount into wet hands, work into a lather, then massage over a wet face for 30–60 seconds — concentrating on the T-zone and anywhere congestion collects. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Use once a day, at night — as the second step after an oil cleanser. Something milder is a better choice in the morning.
Always follow with a moisturizer. A deep-cleansing foam works best when what comes after it puts the comfort back.
Oily and combination skin. Congested pores, blackheads and recurring breakouts, in skin that produces enough oil to handle a thorough cleanse.
Not for you if your skin is dry, sensitive or reactive. If you are using a retinoid or exfoliating acid, pair those with a mild low-pH cleanser instead — this one is a step too far alongside them.
